Major stock exchanges on Wall Street traded lower at the open on Tuesday as investors continued to worry about a broader conflict in the Middle East breaking out, with United States President Donald Trump cutting his trip to Canada short. Meanwhile, traders also assessed the latest economic prints.

The Dow Jones fell 0.42% at the opening bell, with Nike down 1.23% at 9:31 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 declined 0.32% at the beginning of the session, as T Mobile tumbled 3.82% at 9:31 am ET. The S&P 500 started the trading day with a 0.35% loss, with Enphase Energy diving 26.09% at 9:32 am ET.

The euro stood flat against the dollar at 9:29 am ET, changing hands for 1.15615.
