US futures drop amid tariffs, drugs price slash

Equities on Wall Street traded in the red in Tuesday's premarket session as investors weighed the tariff rollback and 90-day pause agreed between the United States and China the day before. Sentiment was also pressured by President Donald Trump's move to slash pharmaceutical prices ahead of today's inflation report. Chinese President Xi Jinping's warning against bullying and domination in global trade through tariffs also weighed in.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures lost 0.26% at 4:30 am ET, while the S&P 500 futures decreased by 0.42% and the Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 0.51%.

The euro traded 0.17% higher against the dollar at 4:24 am ET to go for 1.11074.
