United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Office on Friday urged United States President Donald Trump to revoke sanctions imposed against the International Criminal Court for issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The court was "fundamental to ensuring justice and achieving accountability for the most serious crimes, whether committed in Ukraine, Sudan, Myanmar, occupied Palestinian territory, or anywhere else," office's spokesperson Ravina Shamdasani told AFP, stressing that the court should be able to "undertake its independent work."
