Euro area's construction output up by 1.7% in April
Construction output in the Eurozone grew by 1.7% in April compared to the previous month, according to a report by Eurostat released on Thursday. In the European Union, construction production rose by 1.4%. Year-on-year, it was up by 3% and 2.5% respectively.
In the euro area, specialized construction activities saw a 1.7% increase compared to March, the construction of buildings added 0.9%, and civil engineering activity improved by 0.2%. On a yearly basis, civil engineering was up by 3.3%, specialized construction activities by 2.4%, and the construction of buildings by 1.7%.
