Southend Airport closed for now after plane crash
London Southend Airport in Essex said it would be closed "until further notice" after a small plane, reported to be a Beech B200 Super King Air, crashed shortly after takeoff earlier on Sunday.
"All flights to and from the Airport have been canceled while Police, emergency services and air accident investigators are attending the incident," the airport said in a post on X.
The notice urged passengers due to fly from the airport tomorrow to contact their airline for information and advice.
