Russia calls Ukraine comments a 'terrorism confession'
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Ukraine on Wednesday of admitting to terrorism after remarks by Vasyl Maliuk, head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), about planned attacks on Russian soil.
Speaking at a press briefing in Moscow, Zakharova said Maliuk's statement amounted to a "full admission" that Ukraine's security services operate as a terrorist group.
She alleged that Ukraine's actions reflect international terrorism, claiming they are funded from abroad. "This is a gang with a nationalist ideology, but in terms of methods, it is terrorism," Zakharova told reporters.
