United States President Donald Trump said he plans to keep a minimum 10% tariff on goods from trade partners, even after signing trade deals.

Speaking to reporters, he stressed, "You are always going to have a baseline," suggesting that while exceptions are possible, the policy would apply broadly.

Trump added that some tariffs could go much higher, saying 40%, 50% or even 60% rates are likely in some cases.
