Trump: Returning earlier for obvious reasons
United States President Donald Trump explained that he had to leave the Group of Seven's (G7) summit in Kananaskis, Canada, earlier "for obvious reasons," likely referring to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
Speaking to the press while leaving, Trump stressed that the host, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, "did a fantastic job ... But you probably see what I see. And I have to be back as soon as I can." He also underscored that the host and other guests "understand. This is big stuff."
Meanwhile, it was reported that Trump instructed the US National Security Council (NSC) to be prepared in the situation room when he arrives.
