OpenAI CEO Sam Altman plans to donate $1 million to the inaugural fund for United States President-elect Donald Trump, according to Fox News.

This donation would align him with other notable tech figures, as he matches the $1 million contributions made by Jeff Bezos from Amazon.com Inc. and Mark Zuckerberg from Meta Platforms Inc.

According to the media, Altman contributed privately and independently from OpenAI, as he believes that Trump's administration will lead to a new era for artificial intelligence development within the US.
