Israel slams Macron for 'crusade against Jewish state'
The Israeli Foreign Ministry on Friday accused French President Emmanuel Macron of a "crusade against the Jewish state" after he called for a tougher stance against Israel if it continues with its humanitarian aid policies in Gaza.
"The facts do not interest Macron. There is no humanitarian blockade. That is a blatant lie. Israel is currently facilitating the entry of aid to Gaza through two parallel efforts," the ministry said in a post on X, stressing that the humanitarian situation on the ground is already changing due to Israel's efforts.
Furthermore, the ministry blasted Macron for urging the establishment of a Palestinian state, insisting that "its national day will be October 7" as the French leader wants to reward "the jihadist terrorists."
