Israel notified the United States before carrying out its "extensive strikes" in the Gaza Strip, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said.

"The Trump administration and the White House were consulted by the Israelis on their attacks in Gaza tonight – and as President Trump has made it clear, Hamas, the Houthis, all those who seek to terrorize not just Israel but also the US, will see a price to pay. All hell will break loose," Leavitt told Fox News. The unexpected Israeli strikes claimed at least 232 lives, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

"The Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran and Iranian-backed terror proxies should take President Trump very seriously when he says he’s not afraid to stand for law-abiding people and stand up for the US and our friend and ally Israel," she added.
