Israel examining results of airstrike on Hezbollah HQ in Beirut
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari said on Friday that the military is currently examining the results of the airstrike that targeted Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut on Friday.
"We will update as soon as we know. Our strike was very accurate," Hagari said. The spokesperson held a press conference amid media reports suggesting that Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah may have been targeted in the airstrike.
The military's spokesperson warned that the forces will strike underground Hezbollah sites in the Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut "in the coming hours" and urged citizens to leave the area immediately. Hagari also vowed to foil Iran's potential attempts to transfer weapons to Hezbollah. "Air Force planes are now patrolling the Beirut airport area," Hagari added.
