House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Sunday that the nominations put forward by President-elect Donald Trump for his administration will "shake up the status quo," emphasizing that those chosen are individuals he believes will help deliver his agenda.

"People that are on this list will go into agencies that they are being asked to lead and they will reform them. These agencies need reform and I think the vast majority of the American people understand that," Johnson told CNN. "The Senate needs to do its job and appoint them," he added.

"I think what American people have delivered with the mandate in this election is demand that we shake up the status quo. It's not working for the American people," Johnson stressed, expressing confidence that America First policies will yield results in the months to come.
