Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed on Monday the importance of implementing all stages of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire including providing an uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. As a vocal critic of the current Israeli government, he also said the international community must ensure Israel fulfills its end of the agreement.

Speaking at a press conference, Erdogan repeated that Turkey is committed to the formation of a sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. He also commented on Syria, stating that international restrictions and sanctions on the country must be lifted so it can work on reconstruction following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad.
