At least 20 people have been killed in a Russian missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Sumy, the city's Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar said on Telegram.

"On this bright day of Palm Sunday, our community suffered a terrible tragedy. The enemy launched a missile strike on civilians," Kobzar stated.

The attack comes after Russia claimed that Ukraine launched 13 drones toward its territory, but stressing its defense systems managed to down them all.
