US opens mostly lower with Trump, earnings in focus
Major stock market indexes in the United States opened mostly lower on Thursday ahead of President Donald Trump's speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF). Previously, American Airlines Inc. posted worse-than-expected, and GE Aerospace better-than-predicted quarterly earnings results.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average stood flat. The Nasdaq 100 declined by 0.52%. The S&P 500 decreased by 0.14%. Electronic Arts Inc. was the worst performer on the latter two indexes, plunging by 16.68%.
The euro stood flat against the dollar at 9:28 am ET to sell for $1.04132.
