Microsoft unveils Surface Laptop 5G for business users
Microsoft introduced the Surface Laptop 5G on Tuesday, a new addition to its business computing lineup, scheduled to ship on August 26.
The laptop marks the first cellular-enabled model in Microsoft's Copilot+ PC series, aiming to combine portability with constant connectivity. The Surface Laptop 5G features a 13.8-inch display and is powered by Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors.
It includes a Neural Processing Unit capable of over 40 trillion operations per second (TOPS), meeting the requirements for Microsoft's AI-enhanced Copilot+ program. According to Microsoft, its six internal antennas enable seamless transitions between Wi-Fi and cellular networks, as well as the ability to function as a mobile hotspot.
