The objective of the investment policy is to generate capital appreciation. To achieve this, the fund invests in the equity, bond and commodity asset classes. The equity and bond investments are reflected through direct investments, while the investment in the commodity markets takes place with the aid of derivative instruments (financial instruments whose value depends on the performance of one or more underlyings, e.g. a security) such as, in particular, commodity index swaps and total return swaps. This strategy is called the ARERO global strategy. The weighting of the asset classes is adjusted to 60% equities, 25% European corporate bonds and 15% commodities on the fifth business day in May and November of each year.
