Zelensky talks security guarantees with Kellogg
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that he had a "good" discussion with United States Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg about "effective security guarantees" and the current situation on the battlefield.
"Ukraine is ready for a strong, effective investment and security agreement with the President of the United States. We have proposed the fastest and most constructive way to achieve results. Our team is ready to work 24/7," Zelensky said in a post on X, adding that strong relations between the US and Ukraine "benefit the entire world."
The relationship between the two world leaders came into focus after US President Donald Trump called Zelensky a "dictator without elections," after which his network, Truth Social, was reportedly blocked across Ukraine. The planned press conference after the meeting between the Ukrainian president and Kellogg was canceled today at Washington's request, according to CNN, citing Zelensky's aide.
