Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed on Thursday that he discussed the possible delivery of Taurus long-range missiles to Kiev with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during his visit to Berlin earlier this week.

"The Taurus issue was discussed in a one-to-one meeting between the chancellor and me," Zelensky told RTL, adding that the two leaders agreed not to discuss this issue publicly in the future.

On Wednesday, Merz shared that Germany will finance the Ukrainian manufacturing of its own long-range missiles and emphasized that the two countries are weighing a joint production of Taurus missiles.
