Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned in a Sky News interview published Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin might attempt an attack on a NATO member within the next five years to test the alliance's strength.

Speaking with chief presenter Mark Austin, Zelensky expressed doubt that such an attack would happen in the coming months, saying he does not believe Putin is prepared yet. He criticized NATO's plan to raise defense spending to 5% of GDP by 2035 as progressing too slowly, noting, "We believe that, starting from 2030, Putin can have significantly greater capabilities."

Zelensky emphasized Ukraine's role in delaying Russia's military advances, adding that Putin currently lacks the time needed to rebuild and train his forces due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
