Trump wants 'real end' to Iran nuclear issue
United States President Donald Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he wants to see a "real end" to the Iran nuclear issue, insisting that Tehran should give up on nuclear weapons "entirely."
While leaving the Group of Seven (G7) summit early, Trump commented that he needs to be at the White House rather than Canada right now, in order to be "well versed" and not rely on phone conversations. The US head of state insisted that Washington would "come down so hard" on Iran if the country decided to target it.
When asked whether the US would hit Iran's nuclear program if it joined the fight, Trump replied that he hopes it is "wiped out long before that." Talking about sending US officials to meet Iranian representatives, he remarked that he may do so, but is still unsure.
