Trump fine with European troops as peacemakers in Ukraine
United States President Donald Trump stated on Monday that he sees no issues with Europe troops being sent to Ukraine in a peacekeeping role.
The head of state was replying to a question posed by journalists in the Oval Office amid his ongoing bilateral meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. Trump reiterated that he is working on a joint economic development deal with Moscow, and confirmed intentions to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin "at some point."
Trump also expressed his belief that Putin will not object to European troops' presence in Ukraine. His words come after the Kremlin stated that NATO country's military is unacceptable under any flag, including national and EU.
