United States President Donald Trump told the press on Thursday that he has his very own deadline for achieving a Russia-Ukraine peace agreement, stating the US attitude would shift once this deadline passes.

"I think they both want to make peace, I do believe so ... I hope we are going to get there ... I have my own deadline, I want it to be fast," Trump said. "We have a deadline, and after that, we are going to have a very different attitude on Russia and Ukraine."

He emphasized that NATO wouldn't be "nearly as powerful" without US involvement and that America was contributing disproportionately to the alliance.
