Russian annual inflation up from 8.5% to 8.9% in November

The Russian Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 8.9% in November compared to the same month a year before, according to a report by the country's statistical office Rosstat released on Wednesday. The figure is up from the inflation rate of 8.5% reported in October.

Food prices jumped by 9.8% in November compared to the same month a year prior, while non-food product prices climbed by 5.7%. Services prices surged 11.1% year-over-year.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up by 1.4%.
