The delegations of Russia and Ukraine are set to meet in Istanbul, Turkey, in the afternoon, Sputnik reported on Thursday, citing a source familiar with the matter.

Previously, it was reported that officials from Russia, who will be joining the negotiations, had already arrived.

Meanwhile, United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio mentioned that Washington is open to "any mechanism that would take us to a just peace" between Moscow and Kiev.
