Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that it's necessary to find ways to reach an agreement so that both the peaceful nuclear activities of Iran and Israel's security interests could be ensured.

"We should be extremely careful here. But in my view, such a solution could be reached," Putin said. "We see that today in Iran, with all the complexity of the internal political processes taking place there...that there is a consolidation of society around the country's political leadership," he said when asked if he agreed with Israeli statements about possible regime change in Tehran. The Russian leader also said he had been in personal contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and United States President Donald Trump and talked about Russia's ideas for resolving the conflict.

Speaking about Iranian underground uranium enrichment sites, Putin said they do exist and that "nothing has happened" to them. "It seems to me that it would be right for everyone to look for ways to end hostilities and find ways for all parties to this conflict to come to an agreement with each other," he said.
