Myanmar struck by 5.0-magnitude earthquake
A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on Tuesday with an epicentre 16 kilometers northwest of Mandalay, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake occurred at 5:31 pm local time (1:01 pm CET) at a depth of 10 kilometers. There has been no information about casualties or material damage.
Myanmar was hit by a devastating earthquake on Friday, March 28, which has so far claimed the lives of more than 2,700 people. The tremor was also felt in neighboring Thailand, where it killed 19 persons and caused significant material damage.
