Euro area construction output up 0.1% in March
The construction output in the Eurozone increased by 0.1% in March compared to February, Eurostat said in a report on Tuesday. The same increase was recorded in the European Union. Production in the sector fell by 1.1% in the euro area and 0.7% in the EU on a yearly basis.
In the Eurozone, civil engineering saw a 4.1% month-on-month rise in output, building construction added 0.9% and specialized construction activities grew by 0.1%. Annually, building construction was down by 2.9%, civil engineering dropped 0.9% and specialized construction activities lost 0.1%.
