India: Rubio briefed shortly after attacks began
Indian National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval spoke to his United States counterpart and State Secretary Marco Rubio shortly after the country's strikes on Pakistan began, New Delhi's diplomatic mission to Washington told the press.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump expressed hopes that the escalation between India and Pakistan "ends very quickly."
The comments came after India attacked what it claimed were terrorist targets in Pakistan, describing it as a response to the killings of civilians in Pahalgam. Pakistan later announced its retaliation to India's actions began.
