The Israeli army announced on Monday it apprehended members of an Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-backed "terrorist cell" in Tel Kudna, southern Syria, close to their common border and near an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) post in southern Syria.

"Israel's military's 3rd Alexandroni Brigade—working with field operatives—captured an Iranian Quds Force operational team. This marks the second successful arrest operation in a week. Division 210 forces remain deployed to prevent any terrorist foothold and safeguard Israeli civilians," the IDF said.

According to the military, last Wednesday, several other IRGC-affiliated operatives were captured in a raid in southern Syria.
