European stock equities traded flat to lower in the premarket hours on Wednesday as investors awaited the release of the United States consumer inflation figures for November during the day.

The DAX was 0.16% lower, the CAC 40 decreased by 0.15% and the FTSE 100 lost 0.27% at 8:06 am CET. At the same time, the Euro Stoxx 50 was flat. The euro and the pound sterling were flat against the dollar to sell for $1.05261 and $1.27684, respectively, at 7:59 am CET.
