A new parliamentary election in the Netherlands will be held on October 29, Interior Minister Judith Uitermark announced in an X post on Friday.
The outgoing Dutch government, formed in July 2024, collapsed after Geert Wilders announced his party will leave the coalition due to disagreements over the country's asylum-seeking policy.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dick Schoof resigned, while the rest of the government will remain as a caretaker.
