CoreWeave, Inc. is negotiating the acquisition of the digital-infrastructure company Core Scientific, sources with knowledge of the matter told the Wall Street Journal on Thursday.

The sources said that the transaction could be finalized in the coming weeks, without revealing more details.

Last year, CoreWeave offered to acquire Core Scientific for $5.75 per share, but the latter company rejected the proposal, claiming it was too low. CoreWeave went public in March, and its market capitalization stands at around $75 billion, while Core Scientific has a market value of $3.7 billion.
