Asia trades mixed after new Trump tariffs

Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed on Friday after United States President Donald Trump announced a 35% tariff on Canadian goods, starting on August 1 and announced that he would soon be sending tariff letters to the European Union.
South Korea's Kospi went up by 0.31% at 3:53 am CET, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng jumped by 1.08% at 3:54 am CET and Japan's Nikkei 225 traded flat at 3:55 am CET. In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite added 0.28% and the Shenzhen Composite traded flat at 3:56 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 went down by 0.21% at 3:57 am CET.
The dollar traded 0.34% higher against the yen at 3:58 am CET, selling for 146.74200.
