Yoon's team seeking to dismiss arrest warrant again
Impeached South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's legal team filed on Thursday for a second injunction in an effort to dismiss another arrest warrant issued after him.
"The judge who issued the first and second warrants and the judge who dismissed our objection [to the first one] not only made wrong legal interpretations but are making wrong legal applications," Yoon's lawyer Yun Gap-geun told the media. "There are inferences and exaggerated interpretations of the law that make it highly likely to be illegal."
The previous day, Yun said that Yoon is ready to stand trial for his short-lived attempt to impose martial law in the country if he is officially charged or if an arrest warrant is issued.
