Chinese President Xi Jinping warned on Tuesday against bullying and domination in global trade by using tariffs, stressing it leads to isolation.

Speaking at China's summit with the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) in Beijing, Xi voiced his country's support for Latin America's sovereignty and independence from "external interference," as well as its more visible presence in international institutions.

Furthermore, Xi announced China's willingness to cooperate with Latin American countries in areas such as cybersecurity, counter-terrorism, and the fight against crime. He also pledged 66 billion yuan ($9.2 billion) in investments in the region.
