Vance: US has leverage over Russia, Ukraine
United States Vice President JD Vance claimed on Thursday that Washington has "substantial leverage" over both Russia and Ukraine and repeated that continuing the war is bad for both parties, the US and the European Union. He also alleged that Russia's "massive numerical advantage in manpower and weapons" over Ukraine will persist even if the West continues to supply military assistance to Kiev.
Vance also repeated his criticism of Washington's Western allies, saying that their security "benefitted greatly from the generosity" of the US while pursuing policies on migration and censorship that "offend the sensibilities of most Americans" and defense policies that "assume continued over-reliance" on the US.
