A grand jury is said to have moved secretly to indict several Iranian nationals in connection with their suspected involvement in the hacking of Donald Trump's presidential campaign, sources revealed to Politico.

The individuals allegedly gained unauthorized access to internal campaign documents earlier this summer, which were later shared with journalists and the Joe Biden campaign, sources said, claiming that the operation occurred prior to Kamala Harris becoming the Democratic presidential nominee.

According to the people familiar with the matter, the Justice Department is set to announce the charges on Friday.
