US futures turn to losses ahead of tech earnings
United States stock futures mainly increased their losses on Wednesday after previously trading flat, with only the Dow Jones remaining steady, as investors anticipated earnings reports from major tech companies, including Meta Platforms, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, and Qualcomm Inc. All eyes were also on the upcoming ADP report on the employment change in the country, after yesterday's job openings report missed analysts' expectations, following a report showing that consumer confidence tumbled to COVID-19 pandemic levels.
The Nasdaq 100 declined by 0.33% at 8:02 am ET, while the S&P 500 dropped by 0.31% at the same time. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average continued trading flat.
The euro also traded flat against the dollar at 8:13 am ET, selling for $1.13735.
