French inflation down to 1.1% in September

Annual inflation in France ran at 1.1% in September, the country's statistical office INSEE revealed in its final report on Tuesday. Month on month, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) declined 1.2%. The annual figure came in slightly lower compared to the preliminary report.
Year over year, in the reported month, food prices gained 0.5%, while energy prices tumbled 3.3% and service prices increased 2.4%.
Annual core inflation in the country, excluding food and energy, clocked in at 1.4% in September, as opposed to August's 1.7%.
