The presidents of Russia and China, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, adopted on Thursday a joint statement on maintaining global strategic security.

Furthermore, they signed a series of agreements on mutual investments between their countries in different fields, including bilateral trade and peaceful nuclear energy. Previously, the two inked deals in the energy and automotive sectors.

Putin then said that the talks with Xi were "meaningful" and "productive" and "held in a warm, friendly atmosphere," and stressed that Russia is one of China's leading trade partners. He added that the two countries' future joint projects projected by those deals will be worth $200 billion.
