Tusk: Russia, Ukraine talks could start this winter
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday that the political schedule of the near future is rather uncertain at the moment as the prospective peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine could begin in the winter "although there is still a question mark."
Tusk noted that Poland, which will take over the presidency of the European Union in 2025, will be very much engaged in the entire process.
Furthermore, Tusk announced that he will discuss United States President-elect Donald Trump with French head of state Emmanuel Macron during the latter's visit to Warsaw on Thursday. He explained that, on the occasion of the reopening of Notre Dame in Paris, Macron had meetings with Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and that he will brief his Polish partners on them.
