United States President Donald Trump honored the US Army during his speech at the parade commemorating the army’s 250th anniversary, affirming that "if you threaten the American people, our soldiers are coming for you."

"Down through history, we've been blessed by this valiant legion of army warriors and patriots, heroes and legends," Trump said, adding that "tonight we affirm with unwavering certainty that in the years ahead and every generation hence, whenever duty calls and whatever danger comes, the American soldier will be there."

Additionally, the president said that there was no "earthly force more powerful than the brave heart of the US military or an Army Ranger paratrooper, or a Green Beret," stating that "the Army has forged a legacy of unmatched courage and untold sacrifice."
