United States President Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday that his widely talked-about tariffs will not apply to companies that move their businesses to the North American country.

"If companies move to the United States, there are no tariffs!" he wrote in capital letters on Truth Social.

Trump's comment came after the tariffs he imposed on Mexico, China, and Canada came into force. In response, China already introduced some countermeasures, while Mexico said it is preparing to do the same.
