United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer shared on Friday the impressions from the meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron during which they discussed a variety of topics concerning their countries.

"The UK and France are working together to tackle the shared challenge of illegal migration and deepen cooperation on growth, defense [sic], security, AI and energy to deliver for people in both the UK and France," Starmer posted on X.

The tweet came after Macron visited Starmer at the British prime minister's country residence of Chequers in Buckinghamshire on January 9.
