United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer shared on Thursday that the new deal with the United States will "boost trade, protect jobs and open new markets."

Starmer announced the agreement together with the US President Donald Trump in a video call. The deal will affect the automotive industry, among others, but also productions that use materials like steel and aluminium. Both leaders pointed out that the US and UK are the only two in the West that have trillion-dollar tech sectors.

Prime Minister thanked President Trump and emphasized the close relationship between the two countries as one of the closest allies, "standing side by side," adding that this new economic chapter is based on "fairness and reciprocal awareness."
