Russia warns of response if Germany okays Taurus strikes
Russian Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzya on Friday warned Germany that supplying Ukraine with long-range weapons and allowing Kiev to use them to strike Russian territory would give Moscow the right to "consider all options" in response.
Speaking before the UN Security Council (UNSC) Nebenzya declared that "Germany is going to be drawn further into a war with Russia" after the latest statements by Chancellor Friedrich Merz about long-range strikes on Russian territory.
The representative urged Berlin to carefully consider the consequences of "aggressive actions" toward his country. He argued that Europe's continued support for Ukraine's war effort will further aggravate the situation on the continent.
