China notes progress with EU in talks over EV tariffs
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce shared on Friday that Beijing and Brussels have held five rounds of talks on the anti-subsidy policy imposed on Chinese electric vehicles, noting that progress has been made in the negotiations.
The ministry reiterated China's position on the importance of maintaining mutual trust between the two parties and urged against escalating trade tensions to benefit both sides.
Beijing previously filed a lawsuit with the World Trade Organization (WTO) against the European Union's tariffs targeting the electric car industry in China, arguing that the policy "lacks" legal basis and violates trade regulations.
