Netanyahu thanks Trump for help with Gaza deal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu talked to United States President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday and thanked him for helping reach the deal that secured the release of the hostages, the prime minister's office revealed.

"The Prime Minister made it clear that he is committed to returning all the abductees by any means necessary and congratulated the US President-elect for his words that the United States will work with Israel to ensure that Gaza will never be a haven for terrorism," Netanyahu's office stated, adding that the two world leaders agreed to meet soon in Washington.

According to the statement, the Israeli prime minister also thanked United States President Joe Biden for "his help in advancing the hostage deal."
